I have two Scott Cat A5 2d QV perf 14 with watermark unclear or missing. Two appear to be postmarked 98 and 97 which is 20 years after the issue - were they still being printed or sold? Interesting the picture example of a 8p 1878 in stampworld.com is postmarked 1900.

They are not worth anything but I always like to be clear about a stamp's history, makes the collection come alive.

Baggie,
There were a number of different printings of the Two Pence De La Rue type from 1870 - 1878, on single-lined 2 paper from NSW and then on the first type of TAS watermarked paper.

R.B. Yardley in The London Philatelist (1902) provides a summary of the P.14 stamps issued from 1878 onwards:

In October, 1878, the Government received from London a supply of the 2d. printed by Messrs. De la Rue from new plates of the same design prepared and retained by them.
These and the subsequent printings of Messrs. De la Rue are the well-known stamps printed in a bright green on the surfaced paper watermarked " TAS," 2nd type, and perforated by one of Messrs. De la Rue's comb machines gauging a regular 14.
From that date until the issue of the pictorial stamps of 1900 these were the only 2d. stamps sold by the Government. There have been many printings by Messrs. De la Rue, and there are slight variations of shade.

Thanks for that info, I suspected something like that but the catelogues never have that sort of detail.
