I am wondering if this is a natural colour of this stamp (I have not come across this shade before).

There are only two shades in Trajan catalogue. Brown lilac or dull lilac. Scanner may not contribute to proper color either. Must say it is a well centered example, but maybe I am too fusy. Dont care for the way the bottom perfs look.

Perchance someone has tried to remove an "X" manuscript cancel. You may see it under UV light, or there may be traces of the pen nib embossing the paper.
