I have a stamp that I can't figure out the Scott# for. I have checked Gemini, Google AI and Co-Pilot and they all 3 say it is Scott #826. I have Scott #826 and it is different I will upload them for all to see. Maybe someone can help me identify them. The first stamp is the actual Scott #826. The second and third image are the stamp I need help with

Are they from a Souvenir Sheet or anything like that?

Doubtful they are even from a privately printed souvenir sheet. It is unlikely that a genuine government-approved postage stamp or even an essay would have duplicated design elements e.g. "21c" or "Chester A. Aurthur".

Looks like an AI creation to me. Can you post a scan of the back sides of the "stamps" ?

Unless OP has physical copies of these stamps in their possession, my money is on AI, too. It's very frustrating what AI has done to this hobby, along with everything else it's touched.

Except for Great Britain, doesn't a postage stamp have to have a country name and denomination to be legit?

But could then still be a forgery.

Also situations like Lundy and a few others - stamps that were used to get the island mail to the GB postal service but the stamps were not recognized by the GB postal service.

And some stamps that were not recognized by the government like Fujiera and others.

And then of course some that were printed but then never issued.
