Not much, I'm afraid. They are part of a larger series. According to Google, they were issued specifically for discounted mail during the Holiday season. This series, and others more modern were called "Decemberzegels" meaning December Stamps. I have a friend in The Netherlands who tells me this was done for political correctness. He says, however, that most Dutch still refer to them as Christmas stamps.
