Printed Labeling 104 Cards

I have been experimenting with labels for 104 so they look more professional. This is for organizing a collection until I ever design album pages.

Avery makes 3/8 inch wide return address labels but did not like the time to place. Dealers that used them put them on the plastic film and while it allows a large label, I did not want to do it -- yet.

My label will always have 2 lines and 10 or 12 pt seems to be the best so far. it is easy to fold over a 1 inch wide label.

I know Americans like these, but isn't it more practical to use larger stock-cards housing more stamps?

Has anyone considered using the reverse side of the card for the label? Lots of white space there ...

The top image is exactly that. I did 4 scenarios - back, top left/right, and on film. The upside down Lithuania was a test on reverse side too.

If could print more the back without resorting to a label I would do it.

The cards, 104 or any other size, are stable and safe. The same cannot be said of the self adhesive of the proposed labels.




I believe this is not for the end collector, rather for the dealer selling material out of stock boxes.

I use paper notes slipped into the pockets. Stable paper and writing pencil or ink, printing or pen.

Yes they are for dealers.

One reason is that I have boxes of them (were free to me). If I purchased they would cost about 5.5 cents each which is the same price as a mount (no hinges for me). I already had some labels but not enough for 500 so I will need labels. I cannot feed them through a printer.

If I had a 1000 3x5 cards (something not common these days), I could print on cards (not sure if big enough to feed) and mount on cards.



I have tested dealer cards in the past for acidity and some have tested positive.

The net is this approach seems practical when not organized for an tradition album and given I want to sort by country not flexible enough for Vario pages. This is more like a topical collection,
