New To The Forum, Semi-New To The Hobby

Hi, nice to meet you. This is the first stamp community or group I've joined.

I started collecting when I ended up with stamps in a lot at auction as something they threw in. Well I ended up organizing them and loving the calm they bring, and the interest. I couldn't stop looking them all up to find out more about them. Then my dad gave me his collection since he's not into stamp collecting anymore. Plus I just won a few lots at auction that turned out to be far bigger than advertised. I'll be posting about that asking for some advice in the proper forum on here.

I've been through some of the topics here, and it's great seeing so much friendly community around the hobby. Pretty excited to dig in to stamps a little deeper.

Quick question: Are you organizing the stamps by putting them in an album, or sorting them some other way? I'm curious to hear how other people organize a big pile of stamps that they have received (which sounds like your situation). Thanks!
