I see the difference in method ,I like having the catalog numbers off to the side where you can see them . Your have the catalog numbers hidden under the stamp . |

Wrapped up what I've been working on for the last week. Had to put the various pages, albums and stacks in order before starting another duplicate box.
Pulled out a few random smallish stock books from the hoard and started integrating them into my main collection.
Decided it was finally time to build some sort of index for my 21 volume WW Minkus (smaller maroon binders). Let's just say I've rearranged things to my liking over the years and having to pull a few binders to find something gets old. Starting today as I pull a volume to work on it I'm using excel to create an index. Should help me determine what volume I need to pull when I want to work on something. |

Today my family and I visited a local antique mall where I purchased a postcard postmarked in Redwing, Kansas, in 1909. The Redwing post office closed in 1955, so it has been a DPO (dead post office) for more than 70 years! |

Tackled some Hong Kong and continued working on the WW volume index.
While doing that I realized that I have very few stamps from the Aegean Islands. Spent a few minutes perusing some auctions for Aegean Island lots. |

The first week of August I was at a convention in Tucson, Arizona. I had heard of the Postal History Foundation https://postalhistoryfoundation.org/ and was able to spend Thursday morning, the 6th, there. I would have found more material if I had brought a want list with Scott numbers but I still came away with 80+ stamps for my cow topicals, and two covers. I hope to visit again, and be more organized about what I'm looking for. |
