Three Postal Workers Charged In 24 Million Dollar Stolen Check Scheme

A question I would like answered is how long the USPS employees worked for the USPS. Recent hires (last 5 years) have had a higher issue with complying with postal laws and regulations.

The check crimes happened before, apparently. Which is why he had $600,000 to post bail with.

Fees for credit cards is an old story here. Been around for a while now.

My dumpster service ($55/month) charges a usury $9.99 fee for any payment other than electronic check. My car insurance gives me a discount for EFT/ACH. We see where this is going. If you read the banking trade papers the number one issue with paper checks is security/fraud/liability. The actual handling of the instruments is secondary. This theft case proves the point. Last year my wife had a $900 paper check that was sent to her by First-Class Mail go "missing" and it never showed up. All of the other mail shown in Informed Delivery made it to the house. IMO the USPS has a serious theft problem that they don't want to publish or talk about.
