August 25 1949 - Maseru, Basutoland to Chicago 47, Ill., USA 1899 - Labuan to London, England 1924 - Cayman Brac, Cayman Islands to Manchester, England Registered letter using postage stamps and postal stationery. 1944 - Mogadiscio, under British Occupation to USA In 1944, the British Military was occupying the former colony of Italian Somaliand. Today, Mogadiscio is part of Somallia. A registered letter sent to Macon, Georgia and redirected to Elizabeth, NJ. King George VI definitive stamps from Great Britain were overprinted with "E.A.F." for use by military postal services. The overprint stood for East Africa Forces.The overprints were first issued on January 15, 1943. They were primarily used in Italian Somalia (Somalia) and surrounding areas under the administration of the British East Africa military forces. |

Good morning, two today. Willits,  and Indianola, opened Aug 29 1900 and closed Aug 31 1915. This is the only Indianola postmark I have!  |

August 26 1955 - Luanda, Angola to Basle, Switzerland 1959 - Lobito, Angola to Gorizia, Italy Printed Matter mailing 1929 - Baghdad, Iraq to Tehran, Persia, and back  Arrived back in Baghdad on October 1. Persia's name change to Iran began in 1935. 1933 - Barbuda, B.W.I. to Toronto, Canada
