Canada 3 Cent 1870 With Back Print

I have this 3 cent with back print, and it is a wide stamp, can someone help me with what I have.

You have a 3c Small Queen with an indistinct black cancelations.

An old reference book I own talks about the United States printing some stamps from the Third Bureau Issue using ink with an analine red pigment mixed in, and refers to the stamps so printed as "pink backs" because the analine red bled through the paper.

Obviously, the Canadian stamp pictured in this thread is much older, but is the pink "ghost" on the back an example of the same sort of bleed-through? Or is it merely an offset?
