I always wondered, the genesis of these French Cinderellas.

I have others similar regarding French Tourism.
They always had a better quality to them, than most cinderellas.

Here is a full sheet of French cinderellas from "La Belle France" series,including views of French Indochina,Madagascar and French India


They were issued in five different colours

During the 1930's, French Chocolate companies used to issue playing cards for children that they can fill in albums and receive prizes when complete the album. Among the many albums issued, several dedicated to the countries and colonies of the world. Here the cover of an album issued by Chocolate Pupier for Asian countries and colonies:

took some time finding them, I now have two albums chock full of French Cinderellas and Ephemera.

The Aid to Musicians, I have in claret?, black and blue.

I also have the "La Belle France" I found back of book, so I include those also (One is inscribed Chocolat Kwatta)

Cambodia First Issue FDC exist?

I noticed there was only one stamp ( 1.5 p) got issued on Nov 3rd, 1951, rest of the issue were issued on Feb 1, 1952. I could not find a FDC for 1951. All covers were to celebrate the King's Birthday. And the stamps were said issued in 1952….

So, was the catalog wrong or the postmark was back dated?

No, the catalogue is not wrong and the postmark you showed is genuine. Indeed, the 1.5$ stamp of Sihanouk was issued on November 3, 1951 and all the rest on February 1, 1952. Michel catalogue also states that the 1.5$ was issued in 1951.

Your FDC and the commemorative postmark are both official. (Reference: ICP Vol III, No. 4, page 11). Enjoy it!!
