Difficulty To Buy New Individual Canadians Stamps

As someone who lives in Thailand, I find it hard to buy individual canadian stamps.
I went to the Canada Post website and it cant be done! You can only buy things like souvenir sheets or in pack of 6.
I find it frustrated as its more expensive this way.
Am I the only one who experience that?

You have to purchase $25 of items anyways to get free shipping. Do you want to purchase $3 worth of stamps and pay $4.99 in shipping? Canada Post doesn't want to lose money shipping tiny orders which cost more to prepare and ship than the retail cost.

In my humble opinion, Canada Post's decision many years ago to stop selling individual stamps is one of the prime reasons that younger collectors stopped being collectors. They couldn't afford to buy a ten stamp "Permanent" booklet to get the single stamp they needed.

Perhaps you could post the individual stamp catalogue numbers and someone could sell and ship them to you Solves two problems. You get your singles and they dispose of their extras from their purchases of booklets, souvenir sheets, etc.

Many collectors have this problem with most stamp agencies from most countries. The solution is to buy the "year pack," a single purchase once a year. They can afford to ship you all their single stamps at one time each year.

An alternate, though probably not as cheap, is to buy from dealers on ebay or Hipstamp. Buying many single stamps, as I've done many many times, makes the shipping cost (which is often as low as a dollar or two) easy to take.

Either approach will get you the single stamps you want. Have fun!

Sylvain, if it is only a single of each stamp throughout the year your looking for, why not just set up a standing order and account with them. Just order the quarterly packs that contain a single of each stamp and souvenir sheets included. By requesting semi annual or annual shipping you will usually avoid shipping fees. It is the only way you can get a true, die cut single from self adhesive booklets without having to cut them from booklets.
Edit: Note that by buying the year set you are not guaranteed to get a single of each stamp and souvenir sheet. They changed the year album several years ago, sometimes using a single stamp, sometimes a souvenir sheet, and not complete of every issue as years ago. The quarterly sets still offer the best solution (booklets singles diecut to shape)and seldom rarely these days is there an extraordinary issue not included in them.
