Who Was The Upper Keswick, N.b. Postmaster In 1941

This is a cover to the UK dated 1941. The A.I. systems Claude 5 and Copilot both think the return address is from Upper Keswick but I find that hard to read as such. The other option of of offices near Fredericton is Upper Kingsclear but that does not fit at ll.

The PASSED FOR EXPORT handstamp includes the postmasters initials L.C.

I live in the UK and have to rely on on-line sources for my info. I have not been able to find a list of postmasters for New Brunswick in 1941 to confirm the name. Can anyone help please.

How about Upper Jemseg?
Today the town is just named Jemseg but prior to the 1960s there was an Upper Jemseg and a Lower Jemseg.

AI is often off base, way off base.

Folks using AI do not have the skill set to verify the AI "answer" even when it was written out for them.

Thank you for your helpful reply. Jemseg fits much better and looks correct. It did not show up in my searches because I used "Upper" while looking for possibilities for small communities near Fredricton as I had problems reading the second name.

Because your posting of incorrect information, even from an AI source, only reinforces further errors in to the text in the wild also used by LLM. Nor as I wrote do I think it is anyone else's job to verify AI responses that the person who made the inquiry. For that reason and others I have refused to correct any AI posted by members. I have openly state that a number of times.

Furthermore folks using AI can present as lazy or trying to get by. You did not bother to even search the hand stamp phrase you miss read. Had you bother with that small effort your first return would have answered your question. I did not need to because I am familiar with WWII related financial hand stamps.

All humans make errors, including myself; BUT I will not make a personal error caused by believing AI. Once the false answers are too involved for common folks to verify and catch, truth and information is lost.

Now I do not particularly have an interest in Canada and as such I do not know where to find detailing (tiny) town listing of Canada. If yours was a US question I would have shared to most complete listing of US postal locations.

AI still does not supplant trial and error when trying to discern cursive written words even assuming the writer spelled the word correctly.
