Apparently they changed editors, with David Hartwig taking over for Jay Bigalke Nov. 16. That might have had some effect on all this.

Jay B was on the Stamp Show Here Today podcast and had a bit to say about what is going on. Subscriptions, editorial philosophy, etc.

All sounds fine (except the Classic Specialized is going to two volumes (for the price of one), split at India). I get it, but I bet I keep my 2026 close at hand for one-volume convenience.

I wish they would add 5 years so as to not break up WWII.

That would be nice, but I wonder if they have the Classic-level material worked up for the extra five years? Could be a nice next-level project. Put in the regular 1941-45 material for now, and Classic it up over the next several years.

The Classic Specialized has a new editor, who will be announced soon. I suppose several of you may know who it is.

As it happens, I had the opportunity to mention that idea to one of the new people involved. Which does not mean that it will happen, of course.
