On 8/8/2013 USPS issued the Building A Nation Pane. In doing so, they provided 5-different MARGIN designs for the same 12 different stamp designs. The individual stamps were given a lower-case alpha designation with the SC# 4801 given to the Sheet. In researching, I find that the individual, differing sheets all carry the same SC# (&appropriate alpha). Any thoughts as to why Scott did not assign something to distinguish the unique differing margin panes? (My latest Scott is the 2022 edition). (Yeah, I know 13+ years later I ask the question, I am surprised I remembered there were 5 different margin panes). Would the complete grouping of 5-panes carry any additional value other than 5x catalog?

No, catalog is not a real value.

These are forever stamps thus the face value is $49.20 (.82 x 12 x 5).

Checking ebay, in the last 90 days, one set of five sold for $59.99 without the Scott number, with the Scott number, $70.26. Otherwise sets listing at $70 did not sell repeatedly. Interestingly the sets of five are price well below the cost of five sheets each being sold individually.

That all said, if you were selling to a dealer it would be 5 times the price of a discounted (less than face) forever pane of 12.

Thank you Parcelpostguy. I understand the imaginary value the stated catalog has & that if l realized face value for the sheet that would be a bonus. The 2022 Scott lists a pane at $15/pane of 12. That is about 3x face. I guess I am not really looking for the 'value per say, just curious and you answered with a market asking price which is fine, thank you. I guess my main curiosity is why the individual sheets did not warrant a specific SC# alpha designation to identify the margin difference. SC# 4801Aa-l, #4801Ba-l etc. (When I catalog my stamps, I note the actual price paid against the catalog price to feel good about the purchase and justify to the wife what a GREAT deal I got under catalog.). Again, thank you for the market asking prices. That gives me some insight as to what may be out there. I think that a current face value for the set is more reasonable than current market asking though.
