Junius, that list would be enormous. ABNC absorbed nearly all of its competitors by 1879. So if you also include work by ABNC predecessors, my guess would be more than 50% of all 19th century stamps were printed by ABNC companies. They printed for more than 100 countries.

The gold panning vignette is almost photographic. Just incredible talent these engravers possessed.

A reprint of the stamp above appears on the Iron Horse panel from the ABNC Archives 1987 portfolio. The info sheet attributes the engraving to Arthur Vogel in 1946.

There are actually numerous stamps included in these portfolios, along with background on engravers, etc. We recently added visuals of all the panels to a gallery on the SCCS website:

I'm hoping @jorgesurcl or another expert can help with this:

Lorenzo Hatch was a very talented engraver who apprenticed with the U.S. Bureau of Engraving & Printing in the 1870s, then went on to engrave for many of the prominent banknote firms, including Western, International, and American Bank Note companies. In 1908, he was contracted by the Chinese government to establish a currency printing bureau in China, much like the BEP. He worked there until his death in 1914.

Only one banknote has been attributed to Hatch during his time in China. Most of his time was probably spent instructing apprentice engravers and taking care of administrative duties. But it seems likely that he did some of his own engraving during this period and one possibility would be stamps. The Chinese currency bureau also produced numerous stamps between 1908 and 1914, including the famous Chinese sailing junk design. Does anyone have documentation that Hatch made any contribution to engraving any of these designs?
