Some more conservation tips: We cleaned out our fish aquarium and gave the fish to the school/office.Bye, bye fishies. We also drained and turned off our hot tub--it really ate the electricity! Plus we doubled the size of our garden and are sharing it with a neighbor. ANY MORE CONSERVATION STAMPS OUT THERE?Thanks! Gussyboy |

This 1982 stamp shown in Linn's Stamp News (April 20th, 2009)shows American Goldfinches from their CARTOON CONTEST--the finches are shown in the magazine commenting, " Worms again? I was expecting a stimulus package?" This got me to thinking about my RED WIGGLER worms that I'm raising. Yes, I said , worms that I'm raising. 1000 Red Wigglers will eat five pounds of garbage a week! They get leftover lettuce and bananna peels, egg shells, shredded newspaper, paper towels and (all paper-no coating) paper plates. My grandson daily has to go say "Hi!" to grandma's Red Wigglers! I can't think of a better way to compost and help cut back on the amount of trash in the landfills. Thanks! Gussyboy1 |

I saw in Linn's Stamp News last week that the Golden Finch is nota worm eater! Someone wrote in and corrected the magazine. Does that mean no stimulus package, too? Also, a correction about the red wigglers. It takes 10,000 worms to eat 5 pounds of trash a week! I thought something was wrong with my worms --slow eaters or something. Gussyboy1 |

Revisit Steve's stamps. We here in Western Australia still use plastic Supermarket bags We have been lobbying for 10 years for their removal. |
