The upper set, issued by Laos in 2008, completes the list of sets issued to publicize the summer Olympic Games. I will update this list when Laos will issue new stamps for the summer games.

In addition to the above Summer Olympic Games stamp sets, Laos issued eight sets publicizing the Winter Olympic Games and one set commemorating centenary of International Olympic Committee. I will post all these sets in this thread other time.

One of my favorite engraved sport sets is the one issued by Monaco on July 12, 1948 to publicize the London Olympic Games. The set contains 5 regular stamps and 4 semi-postal airmail stamps. Here are the first 5 regular stamps, all designed by Pierre Gandon and engraved by René Cottet, Charles Mazelin, Jules Piel and Gabriel-Antoine Barlangue as indicated on the stamps:
