I'm surprised that with so many nice military aviation stamps, no one posted this series from the US:

Here is an image of a TOSAPEX '99 cancellation over a USA stamp honoring William Lendrum "Billy" Mitchell (1879-1936), a United States Army general who is regarded as the father of the U.S. Air Force. The stamp features a portrait of Mitchell and a rendering of the SPAD XVI aircraft, a two-seat reconnaissance plane which he used as a commander of the American Expeditionary Force Aviation Program during World War I. This stamp was designed by Phil Jordan, printed by Guilford Gravure for Banknote Corporation of America, and issued by the USA on July 30, 1999, Scott No. 3330.

USAF Thunderbirds Aerial Demonstration Squad (Lockheed Martin F-16C/D Fighting Falcons), designed by Phil Jordan, printed by offset, and issued by the USA on September 18, 1997 to mark the 50th anniversary of the Department of the Air Force, Scott No. 3167. A hidden 3-D design can be seen on the stamp when it is viewed with a special viewer sold by the USPS.
