Well, here is a little more information on my Tasmania items:
I checked the "Penguin" but didn't think I had to go too far. The
cancellation date is January 22, 01 which would limit it to the 1899-1900
Engraved issue. I double-checked the perf, and it is 14 on all sides.
The watermark is Multiple "TAS" which, when viewed from the back, go
from Top Right to Bottom Left, diagonally. I think it is Scott 88, and
nothing particularly special. Here is a closeup of the Penguin:

So, I also have one of Penny Reds, which I also saw nothing special
on first glance. It is perf 14 on all sides and appears to be a copy
of Scott 87 from same year. But, the Watermark is a multiple "TAS"
that goes diagonally in the other direction - from Top Left to Bottom
Right when viewed from the back. Does this change the value any?

As a follow up to my earlier posting of the 4d with the "T" perfin ...
Does this also change value any? (T for Official Use)
Lastly, I was hesitant to post this item since it breaks my heart every
time that I view it. I wish that "Cut-to-Shape" was outlawed.
