South Africa World Heritage Sites September 22, 2000 Robben Island is an island in Table Bay, 6.9 km west of the coast of Cape Town. The 5.07 square kilometers island is flat and only a few metres above sea level. To date, three of the former inmates of Robben Island have gone on to become President of South Africa: Nelson Mandela, Kgalema Motlanthe, and Jacob Zuma.  |

The private mail and parcel courier Easypost of Alicante, Spain issued these 3 stamps for use in Mallorca. One stamp shows a map of the island, while the other two feature Mallorca landscapes. The landscape stamps have a plastic finish, but take a cancel remarkably well. Spain began allowing private mail couriers in 2011. The Easypost website advertises service "to the U.K., Europe, and worldwide."  |

French Southern and Antarctic Territories Crozet Islands 1988 - 1996 The Crozet Islands are a sub-antarctic archipelago of small islands in the southern Indian Ocean, at between 46 and 46.5 degrees south. The stamps show the topographic maps of Penguin Island, Cochon Island, and East Island.  |

France Tourism - Ile de Noirmoutier May 4, 1998 The Island of Noirmoutier is off the Atlantic coast of France in the Vendée Department. The island is most notable for the Passage du Gois, a paved-over sandbank with a length of 4.5 kilometers, one of the routes that connect the island to the mainland. It is flooded twice a day by the high tide.  |
