Picked up a packet of old post card tonight, with a nice selection of stamps and postmarks.
Don't get this one on an KEVII stamp dated May 22, 1907.

TOR & SAR M.C.
No. 5

Also it seems the second 2 of the date 22 is inverted.
I've darkend the image somewhat to enhance the postmark.
Any thoughts?

The No 5 would be Train number 5 and the number upper center-middle is the clerk number on these type of RPO's.

On other RPO's with no NoX marking, the number upper center would change to letters designating the direction of travel or the train number.

Nice info here.

Nice cancellation jamesw

It is not that uncommon to find the numerals upside down and even reversed on the odd occasion.

Sometimes the indicia in the hammer had to be 'borrowed' and this caused some of the errors as well.
