Seeing as it is almost Thanksgiving, I wonder if there have been many stamps with turkeys on them! I know that some states have turkey hunting stamps...   |

Thanksgiving has been and gone, but then we operate on a different calendar here north of the border. Seems the folks on that little island off Florida like turkey too.  Guess we all have something in common.  |

rats! I had the Shqipenia stamp held in reserve for later.
I still have Fujeira not listed on your page
and Ajman! surely there must be a turkey in Ajman somewhere.

The Wisconsin Federation of Stamp Clubs has a PowerPoint on its website that is all about the 1956 wild turkey stamp. The stamp was issued in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin.
The slide show has some beautiful hand painted/hand drawn covers.
