Here are a few oldies but goodies from pre-war France:
First a semi-postal for the sinking fund issued 1 March 1931. Scott B38 (Yvert 269) portraying French provinces by means of traditional women's headdress. From left to right a woman of Arles in what was Provence; a woman of Boulogne in what was Picardy, I believe; Alsace; and Brittany.

Following is a 13 June 1938 issue (Scott 350/ Yvert 388) depicting Champagne. It was also the 300th anniversary of the birth of Dom Perignon


Finally, from 25 December 1939 (no longer pre-war) is Scott 394/Yvert 448 depicting Languedoc.
