Inherited Some Stamps

Hi everyone. I have just registered as a new member as I have some stamps they belonged to my late father & I am not a stamp collector so was looking for some information/guidance. I have some Trinidad & Tobago, all are KG6 (I've been looking at forums & starting to understand the codes!) in strips of 24 (2x12). I have six different designs, from 1 to 6 cents inclusive. I also have some Bahamas & some Tristan Da Cunha. I will attempt to upload some photos. In addition, I have a couple of penny black's, both been franked by the looks of them, with one still on the remnants of the letter it was sent on. And finally there are some stamps on letters from Tuvalu and Argentina. I would appreciate any feedback or advice as I am a complete novice. Many thanks.

You may get more information by creating a topic in the World Stamps and Covers discussion area. More members tend to respond to posts in the various discussion areas than in the "Introduce Yourself Here" area.

It should be possible to direct people to look at the photos you have uploaded here, and not have to upload them again.

To create a topic in the World Stamps and Covers discussion area, you just need to find the "New Topic" link (has a pink folder icon) for that area. In Home view, the pink folder icon is in the far right column of each discussion area.

I don't know if there is a way to move photos that have already been uploaded, but if in your new topic you write about the photos in your "Introduce Yourself Here" post, the other members can look at your original post.

Your Penny Black stamps are potentially valuable... the BC one is from plate 4 and looks like a 4 margin stamp in good condition. The KK stamp is plate 7 and looks like it has a re-entry which gives it added value despite the stamp being 3 margin. Better photos of scans would assist identification for sure... perhaps the Mods will move your posting to a better location and further discussion can take place then.

Thanks, I'll try to take some better pictures tomorrow & upload them. But I'm just getting used to this forum & not too good at knowing where to put things, so would be good to find a better "location".

Above your first message you can see the "ALL FORUMS"... click that and then look for "MAIN STAMP COLLECTING FORUM"... click that and then "NEW TOPIC". I would advise you to name it "Penny Blacks.. one on cover" or similar to get the attention of GB collectors plus all with knowledge of the Penny Blacks. The other stamps can be in different topics with a country name...for instance "tristan stamps", "tuvalu stamps", "Argentina stamps" etc.

Hi RG61 can you get a better and close up of the red wax seal.
I came across a double red wax seal on a English document the other day.
And am trying to compare it.
