Was it a common occurrence for this to be printed backwards? It looks correct if it is held up to a mirror.



My second question is..... I have searched online about these Bergedorf stamps. That white one is not in the group. Can anyone shed some light on this for me?

Your Bergedorf stamps are both forgeries.

The left Bergedorf stamp is an 1874 reprint. Some collectors characterize all Bergedorf reprints as forgeries but they were printed from the original plates. In addition there are also forgeries made from new plates.

Your Wurttemberg item is a cutout from stationery and is a setoff. Here is what an entire envelope with the setoff looks like (not my image):
