I've recently been building a reference library for world revenue stamps, and I've found (to no surprise on my end) that many of these catalogues are out of print and extremely difficult to find. One in particular that I have been trying to locate is "Spain Revenues" by Paolo Rui Barata.
I've been able to buy two other Barata catalogues: Portugal & Colonies, and Brazil - but the Spain catalogue has completely eluded me in the past year.
I tried to contact Publifil, the Portuguese company that published Barata's works - but I can't find anything on them.
I know that John Barefoot has been compiling information on the Spanish colonies... but I can find nothing on Spain itself.
Is there another catalogue (more readily available, at least) that covers the revenues of Spain? My first foreign revenues were from Spain - I got them from a 2-cent-per-stamp fishbowl when I was 13 (it's been several decades since). I've been fascinated ever since.
Also - is there a list of revenue catalogues by country? Has someone compiled a list?
Thanks. I'll limit my questions to these, but I could talk everyone's ears off about this - given the chance. :)

I did prove to myself that the Barata Spain Revenues catalogue exists. I found this image online (please, anyone, let me know if posting an image such as this one is against the board rules... thanks!): |

I just checked the Delcampe listing. The catalog is sold by Paulo Barata himself, I see his name in the seller address. |

Just received answer from Paulo Barata. The edition catalog is 1994 and the pictures are in black and white. The catalog also covers the Spanish colonies. |

Wow, ask and ye shall receive! Thank you so much - I just bought one as well. I've been searching for this one for some time now.
I did find that Edifil also has a catalogue, a little more recent - but since I see so many items referred to by the Barata catalogue numbers I absolutely needed this one as well.
I'll have to take care of bills before I can go another round of catalogue purchases, so when I am ready I will ask about a few more of these elusive countries.
Thanks again jossanders52! You've made my weekend.

Here is the Edifil catalog, so you'll know what it looks like. It's a very nice publication, with everything in color. No Colonies or revenue stamped paper-type items however. |

I found this stamp which is not listed in the 1990 Barata SPAIN REVENUES catalog. It is also known to me in green with overprints of 25 and 30 cts., and in blue with 10 and 25 cts. overprints. Are catalog numbers available for the series in a later edition or alternate volume? |
