Liechtenstein 2013 Switzerland-Liechtenstein Customs Treaty
This stamp features Ellhorn, a mountain on the Alpine Rhine. The mountain is part of the Helvetic nappes which comprises Mesozoic marine limestone, marls and shales.

Switzerland 2019 Typical Swiss Landscapes
The stamp features Val Mora, a hanging valley in Graubünden area. A number of glaciers carved the rock formations to form the L-shaped valley surrounded by remnant peaks.

Mieguszowieckie Szczyty is a group of three peaks on the Polish-Slovak border. They belong to Tatra-Fatra Belt of core mountains which comprises primarily of Paleozoic metamorphic rocks.

Martinswand forms the southwestern end of the Hechenberg, a mountain range belonging to the Northern Calcareous Alps. Its Mesozoic limestone formations exhibit morphology created by Ice Age glaciation.

Slovenia 1999 EUROPA Nature Reserves and Parks
Triglav National Park is located on the eastern edge of the Alpine Arc in the Julian Alps. The stamp depicts the gray limestone mountains and glacier-cut valley dotted with limestone boulders.

Strunjan Nature Park is located on the southern coast of the Gulf of Trieste. The stamp features a view of Moon Bay with its beach below a precipitous 90 meters high flysch cliff.

Croatia 2007 Landscapes
Red Lake is a karst lake at the bottom of a sinkhole near the city of Imotski. The limestone formation in the area is known for its numerous caves and remarkably high cliffs.

The 26 km long Rakitnica River Canyon stretches between Bjelasnica and Visocica Mountains. The Rakitnica carved a thick Triassic dolomite and limestone formation into the present landform.

Bosnia and Herzegovina (Serbia) 2012 European Nature Protection
Pješcane pyramids are located near the town of Foca. They are striated sandstone pillars tapering towards the top. The pillars are getting taller, as erosion continues to remove softer clay material from the base of the formation.

Boracki krš is located in the municipality of Knic in central Serbia. The karst topography is created by erosion of volcanic rocks erupted some 20 million years ago.

Montenegro 2014 Tourism
Hajla is a mountain located in eastern Montenegro, near the city of Rožaje. It is built of limestone and volcanic rocks. The stamp shows Triassic Limestone outcrops at the summit (2403 m).

North Macedonia 2017 Landscape
Matka is a canyon between the mountains of Suva Gora and Karadžica, located west of Skopje. It features limestone formations cut by Treska River, as well as underground drainage systems with sinkholes, lakes, and caves.
