I shall instruct my girlfriend to hold on to the postcards I am sending her when travelling. She will be rich one day.

Make sure you write them in an interesting code.

The house seems to be selling the collection over a period of months. By the nature of postcards, the great majority will be penny stuff, which could prove hard to move on.

For each postcard received, they expect you to send one. At € 1.50 a stamp and € 0.50 a postcard, those 1,000 - 2,000 postcards will cost you between € 2,000 and € 4,000. I fear might only add to your stamp collection from those postcrossing postcards you receive.

Interesting information. It is probably more a newspaper sensation type of article to attract more readers. Probably the quality of the material
is not very high ,but the number is still very large. I get the impression that they are simply searching a new home for the collection . I can't say whether the price asked for it is the right one or not. I had lots of postcards and they were from all sort of places .No one wanted to buy them . It took me a long time to sale them for a very modest price.
Yares ago the tax rate in our country was very cheap . It was around 0,05 USD for sending a letter or a postcard in the country and 0,25 USD for the same type of services. So it was not very hard to make a collection with a high quantity of postcards in it.
