March 22 N-Z WELLINGTON 22 MR 94 NEW ZEALAND Scott #07a: Under the Wellington postmark you can barely see the OPSO purple handstamp indicating the stamp to be an official stamp. OPSO stands for On Public Service Only. This type of official was eventually replaced by stamps overprinted OFFICIA L beginning in 1908. |

March 24 GOVERNMENT OF H. H. THE SULTAN OF PORT OFFICE 24 MAR 1902 Tossing a bit of a curved ball at you with this Government of India 10-rupee revenue stamp, overprinted Zanzibar. Stamped 24 March 1902 at the Port Offices. I mageSleuth helped in decerning the words of the handstamp. I did not hazard a guess about the full handstamp. |

March 27 CEBU, CEBU MAR 27 11AM 1928 P..I. PHILIPPINES #228A (SW.COM): 1911 -1926 Personalities - New Watermark City of Cebu is a highly urbanized city in the Central Visayas region of the Philippines. According to the 2024 census, it has a population of 965,332 people, making it the sixth-most populated city in the country and the most populous in the Central Visayas Region. The reason the name Cebu appears twice in the postmark is because it is Cebu City, in Cebu Region, sort of like New York, New York. |
