Downeast Stamps Closing Their Doors.

Gil took a hard fall in April and, despite Scott's dedicated assistance, is no longer physically able to meet the demands of reviewing thousands of lots and assembling six or seven catalogues a year. He will have his 93d birthday in July.

We are settling accounts with buyers and sellers for sale 356 and have completed sending lots for sale 356 to winning bidders. In our office we still have material from many consigners and will be making arrangements for its return.

Until Memorial Day (May 31), we will be in the office from noon to 5:00 p.m., answering phones and emails. After that we'll post an updated schedule here.
