I wish there was a way to search within a thread... forgive me if I already posted this Laos stamp. I like the various colors and the way they all blend together.

I agree with you Nells that Loatian one and others posted
by nethryk are very distinct looking stamps.

It's the way these vibrant colours were combined that makes
them very appealing to the eye.

I have just received a large lot of beautiful Laotian material from LB1.
I hope to have to time to scan some this weekend.

There is a good article on Loatian stamps on this site - http://www.sicp-online.org/archive/laos_001.htm

Jean Pheulpin designed over 650 stamps for both France and her colonies but Laos was a particularly special place for him.
He won the grand prize, Grand Prix de l'art philatélique Française, for his Laotian series 'Elephants'.

I agree with earlier comments regarding searching.
What would be good would be an index on the first page but only the thread starter can do this.
I would be happy to make a start on the code if others think it would be useful.

Good start Anthony.

Manly is ok because he was only mentioned once in the whole thread I believe.

Pilch works on 1 and 2 but clicking 3 only gets you back to
page 1.

Slania gets you to page 1 even though he was mentioned
dozens of times on 47 pages.

If the search engine would allow one to find a stamp
according to catalogue number that would be great.

But that would only work if posters included the number
of every stamp they posted.

Edit: OK the Pilch on 3 now gets page 2. You're getting
there Anthony.

Try 3 again Litho - there was a typo.

It was a test. I can imagine Slania was mentioned a number of times but I'm not going through 47 pages for Slania and then again for Pilch etc. I just did a quick test for the first two pages

Forum is slow for me tonight - the last edit took 43 secs to 'lick'

Added a second Slania for you.
