I assume this is just a single stamp taken from a larger pane which would have helped to explain the charity or hospital being depicted. With only this single piece to go on, does anyone have an idea of what organization is represented? (It appears to be of U.S. origin.)

Thanks! I've seen some St. Jude Children's Hospital Cinderellas before, but they usually reference the name of the hospital or their logo on each piece. This one was a bit different. From the look of the nurse's uniform, I would guess it is dated to the late 1960's to early 1970's.

As soon as I saw the "At No Charge" I knew it had to be St. Jude Hospital. It is the ONLY Free Children's Hospital in the US. Their motto is "No Child Shall Ever Be Turned Away, For Any Reason". It is a Very worth while organization.

With the holiday season and end of tax year upon us, I'm seeing quite a few St. Jude Children's Research Hospital commercials featuring Marlo Thomas, the daughter of Danny Thomas, a deceased actor/comedian and the founder of St. Jude.

Coincidentally, I received this St. Jude charity stamp in a Back of Book lot I purchased last week.

Thanks for filling that in Rod.

wt1, if you revisit this post, perhaps you can change the title to reflect St. Jude.

That's how a great database is preserved.
