I don't have this one but wish I did - the lovely Newfoundland codfish (Scott#24) from the 1865-1894 issue.

Hmmm, `Motorschiff Moby Dick`...Here are two halves, do they add together one?

Pmk covers a lot, scan could be better, I know, but this is the only one I got. Here`s a link:

Thanks for posting that Newfoundland Codfish, Cynical,
I have been after an image of that for a while.

The original fish, was drawn straight, but wouldn't fit
the stamp vignette, so the tail was re-drawn curved.

My Contribution is East German Guppies

Sadly, I seem to have cut these off when I trimmed the scans

Rod: you're welcome. Stepping out on a limb here but if I remember correctly that 2c codfish may have been the first fish stamp.

For those stampers and/or fish lovers I highly recommend a book entitled Cod - a Biography of the Fish that Changed the World. An absolutely fascinating read.

Yes it is, you're right.
But the scanner is closed down for the night and that's all I had saved !

Guess I'd better go to bed before I post anything else !

Billingsgatebus1....I just knew there was something fishy about my post !
