I picked up the new Christmas stamps yesterday; but, the local PO didn't have the booklet with the gutter strip.

Gets to be expensive buying all those booklets plus the SS.

I know there's no going back.....but, I long for the days when you could buy a single stamp or two to make up your own FDC.

Now, it is a case of having to buy two booklets of each stamp.

If I wasn't such a purist, I'd forget about having an un-touched booklet.

Just thinking out loud again......it's a good thing this isn't an audio forum.

AND, has anybody noticed anything "strange" about the new ones?

Unless it is real obvious, I usually don't have the patience to look for fly-specs.

Having said that, I did notice the differences in the Marine Mammals issue immediately because one of the two booklets I bought had the extra numbers.

I guess the law of averages kicked in to prove I can't be wrong ALL the time.
