I tried to find another listing and found only one. It was a bit more expensive (around $10 more) but I went through about ten pages at 100 items per page to find it.
I read some of his negative feedback and it seems that at some point in the past, the devices were either 2 megapixel or sold as 2 megapixel, which caused a complaint or two.
The magnifiers are now listed as 1.3 Megapixel
One or two complaints that the unit was lost in shipping; the majority of people who got one were happy.
Not exactly stamp-related, rather, family-gift-related, but has anyone used a screen magnifier of the type used to increase the size of the image available on a mobile telephone? And can you recommend one? The reviews on Amazon UK are all over the place. Many thanks.
Hi Geoff, my colleague, whom specialised in Kangaroos, swears by a little program to enhance screen views of ebay listings when he wants to fly speck.
I didn't care for it myself, dashed if I can find the source of the tiny program, yet "agent ransack" found it on my computer, and just called "magnifier"
If no other members offer anything, I can ask my fellow in january.
Hello. The magnifying glass is in the briefcase that I take to the Saturdays gatherings, In house I use this electronic microscope, it is genial. Regards.
Roberto Many thanks - but I'm not looking for a microscope. This is a simple device that maginfies what's on a mobile telephone screen to make viewing easier. Regards. Geoff
Geoff, I get the feeling "gadget" from reviews I have seen. If you can stand this gentleman, perhaps fast forward a little, he seems to give an overall rounded opinion......
I notice in this thread that a few people own, or recommended, the Optex USB digital magnifier. I have one of these and it worked really well until I had a recent computer failure and now only have a Windows 10 operating system. The old driver does not work and so far I have been unsuccessful finding a driver for this magnifier. I am wondering if the other members that have this device have been able to find a driver for this device. It would be a real shame to have to throw this into the trash due to a driver issue.
Thanks. I have gone down that route through Msft without any success. I have checked other Optex discussions and the only suggestions are to change the OS back to Windows 7 which I am not going to do. So I may be out of luck unless someone who has one of these can point me to an actual working driver.
