Swimmer, designed and engraved by Georges Bétemps, and issued by Mali on July 19, 1965 to publicize the first All-Africa Games, played from July 18, 1965 to July 25, 1965 in Brazzaville, Congo, Scott No. 81.

Here is an image of an airmail stamp depicting a runner holding a torch, designed by veteran American magazine art director Suren H. Ermoyan, engraved by William K. Schrage (vignette), Matthew D. Fenton (frame), and Howard F. Sharpless (lettering), and issued by the USA on August 27, 1959 to publicize the Third Pan American Games, which opened that day in Chicago, Illinois, Scott No. C56.

German cover commemorating opening of 1968 Olympics in Mexico.
Stamps are two semi postals picturing Rudolf Harbig, runner (SC#B435) and Carl Diem, sports organizer (SC#B437).
Surcharge was for Federation for the Promotion of the 1972 Munich Olympics.

Biathlon, designed by Romanian artist Eugen Palade, printed by photogravure, and issued by Romania on October 25, 1971 as one of a set of six stamps publicizing the 11th Winter Olympic Games, held in Sapporo, Japan, February 3 to 13, 1972, Scott No. 2296.
