Capoeira is a Brazilian martial art and game with roots originating in Angola and the Congo, and combining elements of dance, acrobatics and music. Here is an image of a stamp depicting capoeiristas, designed by Ewaldo Gato, and issued by Brazil on August 6, 1972 as one of a set of five Brazilian folklore stamps, Scott No. 1236, plus an image of a painting entitled "Capoeira or the Dance of War" (1825) by German artist Johann Moritz Rugendas (1802-1858), and a YouTube link to a video of a Capoeira group performing in Salvador Bahia Brazil.
Thanks for the images nethryk. I have seen videos etc., with this dance being performed. I remember on occasion during my karate classes when this form was discussed. Interesting to say the least.
Here are images of the six stamps in a set depicting practitioners of muay Lao, a traditional Laotian unarmed martial art similar to muay Thai, printed by lithography, and issued by Laos on January 30, 1982, Scott Nos. 361-66.

Judo, printed by lithography, and issued by North Korea on March 10, 1974 as one of a set of eight stamps commemorating various North Korean sports victories in 1973, Scott No. 1201.
Great stamps nethryk and thanks again. Glad to see that this thread is still active. Have obtained a 'few' more stamps for my collection, but, the images are already shown in here.
