That would add a special meaning to an SCF BBQ where we need bring a plate of food to share. I am sure some will stick to pop corn. |

I've eaten groundhog (like bear, it's a little oily for my tastes) and raccoon (good but needs lots of black pepper), but never possum. And being a country boy, I have of course, also eaten deer, elk, moose, squirrel, quail, grouse, pheasant, etc. It's all good with gravy |

You guys are fairly disgusting,
but you cannot beat Cronus, Rhea's husband, He ate all his children, Cronus was able to chow down on Demeter, Hades, Hera, Hestia and Poseidon as soon as they were born.
Rhea was albeit a bit slow, but she cottoned on, and when Cronus tried to eat Zeus, Rhea included a rock in swaddling, so Cronus vomited up the kids.

rod222, i never said I would eat the possum.i just told KGV I would roast one for him. but the secret to possum is you have to catch one,pen it up for a month and feed it corn, corn bread and milk to "clean" it up before making it a meal. as far as disgusting - I didn't even mention "mountain oysters",head cheese,or chitlins but I will eat every frog leg you put in front of me also to get this back on topic - I think I have figured out a way my Norse mythology could fit into my farming topic Thor the thunder god was also considered the god of farming hows that for some abstract thinking? My dad was an oyster farmer. As a child I remember one year when the bottom dropped out of the oyster market through a food poisoning scare and you couldn't give them away. That year we ate oysters for months. Haven't touched one since.
I've also eaten rabbit, Kangaroo, Emu and goat. |

I have had enough of you horrible carn1vores, You have had meat, fruit, and fish.... Get some Vegetables into ya! ...and some verbal soup from our Tony.... There was another delightful food-oriented slogan illustrated in the excellent newsletter from the UK dealers Murray Payne: 'WHEN DID YOU LAST HAVE delicious BEETROOT?'. Apparently it was withdrawn after only 2 days because Churchill hated beetroot. The newsletter says that Churchill named the operation to liberate Burma Operation Beetroot because he knew it would be 'bloody and quite horrible'. Tony Mac Gillycuddy |

rod222,
okay on the subject of vegetables : I wonder what the chances are of finding a stamp that has okra on it? maybe a stamp from Africa? I believe that is where it came from or it could have come from Egypt not sure.
how many people out there have tried it? alot of people hate it but it is one of my favorite vegetables.
