I have Grace Kelly's Monaco stamps, mint. I had to have them as I remember my mother and grandmother making a big thing over her as she was an American actress that had married so well. I would love to have a FDC to go with it. I'll have to just put out a wish to the god of philately to send one my way...lol

Donna I have a FDC of Grace Kelly from the 1950's.

I got it from a dollar box, so if you want it I would take 1.50 plus postage.

22Crows: thanks for the links. I have jokingly described myself elsewhere in the forum as a "tangential thinker" and enjoy where links take me.

Donna: a strange set of circumstances in that although having one FDC of Princess Grace I literally have no catalogue coverage of Monaco stamps after her arrival there. In fact, that was about the time I started collecting match booklets and stamps and stamps eventually won out but in a somewhat erratic way over the years. I seem to remember Monaco being one of those small countries that the Harris company would fill stamp envelopes with (San Marino also comes to mind).

There must have been many first day covers over the decades that pertained to Monaco's royal couple - or was there?

Grace Kelly also appears on an Irish stamp in 1999.
