Oops. I hadn't seen this thread before I started one in the Back of the Book section. I'll move my pics here and ask to have that thread deleted.
These are items I've added to my website and database in the last week.
I'll start things off with this R84c. Red cancels always make for nice contrast, especially when combined with an off-color manuscript cancel.

The stamp on this one is FUBAR, but this is a lovely example of an early American Express or Adams Express cancel. I think it's the former, but am not entirely certain.


Steel die handstamps make some of the crispest, sharpest cancels found on 1st issue revenues. About the only thing comparable are the printed cancels. I already have an example of this one, but this new one is nicer.

I'm a sucker for 1862-dated cancels...



Diamond Match Co. There are only a few companies known for using triangular cancels, and this is one of them.
