This thread could use another bump.

This is a little low, but it is a nice strike of Tammerfors, the Swedish name for Tampere, on an early Finland.

This thread needs to come back to the top...I've found dozens of great socked-on-the-nose cancels lately. I originally thought this one might be a railway cancel, but it turns out to be Wandsworth | Revelstoke Rd. S.

If someone knows what follows Wandsworth in the top arc, I'd appreciate hearing it.

Ah, yes. I was trying to tag the W. and the 8 onto the end of the top arc, but now that I know what it says, I see it is a continuation of the bottom arc. Thanks!

As a newbie, I am still learning the terminology of the trade. Would either of the stamps below qualify under this topic? If not, what commonly accepted attributes would not be present? Thank you.

The bottom one definitely. The top one is more of a "killer" cancel. Also, something looks a bit off as to the composition of the cancel, almost as someone tried to "enhance" it with a crayon... but then again front-of-book and its cancels are not my string suit.

Great topic, I've always liked these stamps.

Switzerland seems to have very accurate people canceling the mail.
