I have eight Feb 7 postmarks but feel that I need to show a ninth (two months early) as a result of the 1st cover. Pure conjecture on my part.

Eureka, (an indication of unrest, dark history)

Eureka to Sacramento, forwarded back to Eureka. This cover is two months early for this thread, but is relevant.

Back to Feb. 7th.
Mendocino,

Eureka, Humboldt Bay, Wells Fargo, I think the first two covers have some bearing on the addressee of this next cover. Even though it's 15 years later, and the Redcaps have been somewhat settled on the Hoopa Reservation.

Fields Landing,

Northwestern,

Irmulco,

Gualala,

and Rohnerville.

Edit routing Apr 14 cover.

GRAND BOURG (Mie. Gte.)

This envelope was sent unpaid from Grand Bourg which is located on the island of Marie Galante. Marie Galante (Mie. Gte.) was a dependency of Guadeloupe. French postage due stamps partly cover the postmark. Marie Galante is located just north of Dominica.

ISLAND OF GUAM

The stamps are from the 1890's, two one-cent Franklins, from 1895 and a three-cent Jackson.

and

1891 Registered Cover, Tortola to Munich

TORTOLA

Given that the postage and registration fee was overpaid with this one-shilling stamp and that Virgin Islands #5 (SW.C) was issued in 1866, it could be assumed a stamp collector arranged this mailing.

1968 Bailey's Bay, Bermuda to Smithtown, NY, USA

BAILEY'S BAY
10FEB68A
BERMUDA

Featured on this letter are the four-penny and eight-penny of the beautiful Bermuda series showing buildings on the island. The envelope probably contained either extra sheets of writing or photographs, hence the need for a shillings worth of postage instead of just eight pence.
The series was issued in 1962 and the SW.C catalogue numbers are 168 & 171.

1909 Vavau, Tonga to Norwich, England

VAVAU
O9
FE 10
TONGA

The Tonga stamps shown on this mailing were first issued in 1897 and the SW.C catalogue numbers are 38 (half-penny) and 41 (two-penny).
