B Beautiful script! Are there any markings, maybe a received cancel, on the back of the cover? You have once again posted a Route 66 town: Webster Groves. |

Ahh... the Rt 66 theme. I forgot. Sorry. :) Hometown in many respects. Grandfather lived there for decades. You'll see lots of his stamps / cancels in my collection. :) Surely you are a Ted Drewes frozen custard fan as well? Best ever, IMHO! |

i stayed up because I went through 3 shoe boxes of covers and did not find a Feb 3 cover...i did find a couple of Feb 4..this one was a rough attempt at making a cachet for a FDC...i clipped the tulip picture out of Linns and glued it to the envelope..not too smart..but it survived... |

My family loves going to Ted Drewes when in Saint Louie! Heck we've even gone in winter with snow & ice on the ground.
Thank you for sharing your Grandfathers heirloom collection with us around the world. |

Just to keep this thread going, here's a 1919 cover representing February 7th: Anyone happen to know what location "Station N" was in New York City way back then? |

For February 10th -- an especially nice stamp (CE2) on a First Day Cover, with a Fairway cachet: |

I look at every post and enjoy them all too.
I know I have some covers somewhere but they are not at all sorted. |
