October 5, 1898, a registered cover from Pierceville, Indiana. The addressee, J. M. Robinson, Norton and Company, was a wholesale dry goods dealer in Louisville, Kentucky.

A bit about the J. M. Robinson and Norton Company. Must have been quite the firm back in its day. Being able to employ some 85 salespeople and generating more than $2 million in sales back in the 1800s must have been a remarkable achievement:

Driving my daughter and two of her room mates back to university tomorrow after our Canadian Thanksgiving long weekend.

Cover for the 2nd philatelic exhibition on Montgat, a coast small town (11.000 inhabitants)13 km North of Barcelona. Here, it's known for having the first railway tunnel on the Iberian Peninsula.

Took digging through a couple hundred cover, but I finally found an Oct. 10th cover. Was hoping to find one from 10/10/10, but no luck.
