3¢ Small Queen Seperations

After reading some links on the various printings ottawa/ montreal and back to ottawa and the color/ perf difference I am going to tackle seperating about 70 3 cent small queens acordingly. Anyone have a clue which would have a more likely chance of stitch watermark ? I know the later printings were on less quality paper but still would like to narrow things down a bit. I've been using the ronsonol to look for watermarks but so far struck out yet enjoy the hunt. Also noticed that some dry much quicker -- would that be another way to discern paper types?
