hello, new to the forum here. I recently found an old stamp album that was my grandfathers. Scott Modern Stamp Album dated 1940, partially filled with stamps from around the world..i was particularly interested in a few russian stamps in the book that caught my eye I have included the images, I have searched around the internet and cant find any info on them..any help would be much appreciated thank you

war charity stamps of 1914.
I believe these were the first semi-postal stamps.
The set exists with three different perforations..

wow thank you for the quick reply..is their any value to them? I would never sell the book it means too much to me, just curious

I don't like quoting prices, jeopardy :)
Unused min CV
Used $5 a set?
"Specimen" overprints as the other image,
not aware of a price.

The value lies in the your Grandfather handled them and no doubt
liked them too. Priceless!

thanks for the info, it is a very cool set, he helped me with my own stamp collection as a kid (my grandfather) but I had never seen this book he had...be something nice to pass on to my kids...thanks again!
