Not passing the buck,
but read up the early history of Haiti from wiki.
People on stamps of Haiti

and an old catalogue perhaps.

The first stamp of Haiti ("Liberty")
people gossip that they can see two faces on Liberty
back and front.

You have all the Palm trees with "drooping leaves"
watch out for similar designs with upright leaves.

The overprint you have is created by a die carved from wood.

I have a nice collection of Haiti, a lot are overprinted and look
ugly to some, but I really dig them.

Your first gentleman is pres. Simon Sam
and the guy with the jaunty hat is J J Dessalines.

Stamps of great britain were used in Haiti
and have killers "C59" or "E53"
