Any help confirming this cancel, which appears to be a Railway Post Office cancel. There must be another letter or two after RPO DN__, based on the spacing. I wonder if it is an abbreviation for Dunedin?
Rail post information found here: "Mails by Rail in New Zealand" by Albert Johnstone & Robin Startup, published 2001.
A new canceller, DN5 was introduced in 1897. It read 'RPO' rather than the previous 'RTPO'. Index letters remain as before: 1 for northbound, and 2 for southbound.
