According to a recent news report, this is the longest stamp ever issued for Sri Lanka (123mm L x 35mm W):

If anyone's interested in the entire news article it is at this link:

Maybe this a question for topical specialists, but are there any other countries that have issued longer stamps?

I imagine the Sri Lanka stamp would look great on a cover!

wt1, the train stamp is very interesting but not the largest stamp issued. Canada Post issued a $10 whale stamp late last year and it is 128mm x 49 mm. I'm not sure how to paste a link but if you google Canada Post Whale Stamp you will get the details.

I was thinking of the whale, really I was.
It would be nice to have them both and do a scan of them together compared to a known-sized smaller stamp.

I don't have any pics, but I believe Poland and probably Hungary have some long stamps.
